University student's hanging body recovered in Tangail

 

Police have recovered the hanging body of a student named Junaid Hossain (24) of Maulana Bhashani University of Science and Technology (MVUST) in Tangail.

The body of the deceased was sent to Tangail General Hospital for autopsy on Saturday (June 21) morning. The body was recovered from the fourth floor of the house of Newaz Ali in Santosh Puratan Para, Tangail Sadar Upazila on Friday (June 20) evening.

Junaid Hossain is the son of Ali Ahmed of Basugaon village under Pubail police station in Gazipur district. He was a fourth-year graduate student of the university's Computer Science and Engineering department.

Tangail Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Kazi Nazrul Islam said that after receiving information, the body was recovered hanging from a rope from a ceiling fan. It is believed that he committed suicide.
