The principal who was humiliated by AC Land in Bhuiyanpur has died

The principal Abdus Chobhan, who was physically tortured and humiliated by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tariqul Islam in the terrible conspiracy of some conspiring teachers of Fazil Madrasa in Bhuiyanpur, Tangail, for protesting against the embezzlement of money in the guide book trade, the shortage of question papers for the SSC entrance exam and the negligence of duties, and the physical torture at the hands of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tariqul Islam, is no more. He died at 5 am on Saturday (June 21) while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. After Maghrib prayers, the funeral was held at the Gobindasi Eidgah ground in the upazila and the burial was completed at the Gobindasi graveyard.

Abdus Chobhan was the principal of Bhuiyanpur Fazil Madrasa. He was 59 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.

Meanwhile, his death has cast a shadow of grief across the upazila. Rumors have it that he was brutally beaten to death. In response to his death, various posts have been made on social media, criticizing the Assistant Commissioner on Facebook.

Family members said that Principal Abdus Chobhan suffered a mental breakdown after being released on bail on April 25. Later, on June 9 of this month, when he suddenly fell seriously ill, his family admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

 On April 17, while serving as the center secretary on the day of the entrance math exam at Bhuiyanpur Fazil Madrasa, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Tariqul Islam physically tortured and verbally abused Principal Abdus Chobhan, threatening him that he would 'skin his back' regardless of his age. He also called him to his office and insulted him in various ways.

On April 20, the principal's son Abdul Wares filed a written complaint with the Tangail District Commissioner seeking redress in this incident. Later, Assistant Commissioner Tariqul Islam also did not take any action against the conspiring teachers, the center's room inspector and those concerned.

Not only that, a mob was created against him with the teachers and students of his own establishment. As a result, the principal was blockaded in his room. Journalists were threatened for making a video of it.

Earlier, on March 16, the Jamiatul Modaresin organization made various allegations against the principal and recommended the nomination of the organization's president Afsar Uddin as the central secretary to the Madrasa Board. However, on March 24, principal Abdus Chobhan filed a writ petition in the High Court against this nomination and was reinstated as the central secretary on April 8.

There are allegations of guide book trade worth 14 to 15 lakh taka against this organization of the Jamiatul Modaresin Upazila branch. Various print and online news were published about this. Later, the upazila administration took action. The upazila administration formed an investigation committee to appoin

the next person.
