10th death anniversary of Abubakar Khan Bhasani celebrated in Tangail
The 10th death anniversary of Abubakar Khan Bhasani, the youngest son of the oppressed public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani, has been observed through various programmes.
On this occasion, the program started with a visit to the shrine of the martyred public leader Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani at 10:30 am on Sunday in Santosh, Tangail. After that, wreath laying, prayers and prayers were held at the shrine of Abubakar Khan Bhasani.
A day-long Orsh Mubarak and Remembrance Meeting was held at Tangail's historic Darbar Hall. Hasrat Khan Bhasani, president of Nap-Bhasani and Khoda-e-Khidmatgar, presided over the memorial meeting. Bhasani Central Committee Member-Secretary Azad Khan Bhasani along with other devotees were present in all the programs.
It is to be noted that Abubakar Khan Bhasani was born on 24 April 1947 in Amtali village of Dakshin Shalmara police station in Dhubri district of Assam. He was the youngest son of the oppressed public leader Maulana Bhasani and Hamida Khanam Bhasani. After the death of his father Maulana Bhasani on 17 November 1976, he turned to the Sufi way of life under his guidance. He became widely known by 'Chormara Andolan' in Tangail's Char area. He passed away on September 18, 2012. On September 19, Santosh was buried next to his father's grave.
