Record number of cases settled in Jamalpur Senior Assistant Judge Court

In the Jamalpur Senior Assistant Judge's Court, a record number of cases were disposed of in just 32 working days during July and August. During this time, 448 cases were settled.

According to court sources, 508 testimonies were taken on the said working day. Among them, 144 one-sided witnesses were accepted and 364 two-sided witnesses were accepted. 68 unilateral orders were given and 30 bilateral judgments were given. 344 disposals including rejection and withdrawal including disposal of six ADRs. Earlier cases were 2 thousand 687. After settlement, currently 2 thousand 239 cases are pending in Sadar Court.

It is known that Judge Iqbal Mahmud of that court supervises every case from the beginning to the end and the learned judge takes necessary measures in those cases. Besides, the orders of important cases are given in the court itself. The learned judge is trying his best to settle the old cases on priority basis. Judge Iqbal Mahmud disposed of 217 cases in just 16 working days before participating in military orientation training on August 25.
