Russia launched a missile attack on a key dam on the Inhulets River in the southern Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Two days after the attack, the water in the Inhulets River turned red, British newspaper Guardian reported on Friday.

However, it is not clear why the river water changed color after the Russian attack. Along with that report, the Guardian has also published various pictures that have spread through social media. Bright red colored water was seen flowing in the river there.

 The water has broken the river bank and is entering the locality. Local people are being evacuated to avoid possible damage. Alexander Vilkul, the head of the Kraivi Rihr military administration, warned that 22 roads in the two districts had already become dangerous. Government officials say water levels in the Inhulets River are rising dangerously. 100 cubic meter of water is flowing per second.

About 650,000 people live in this city, the childhood home of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. On Wednesday, the Russian army launched 8 missile attacks in a row.

In a video message released Thursday morning, Zelensky said there is no military connection to water management.

However, the city's water supply has been stabilized, Alexander Vilkul said on the Telegram app on Friday.
