India will help solve country's energy crisis: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that India will help solve the country's energy crisis, they have assured us about this. Apart from this, Petrobangla will be responsible for increasing the production of mineral resources within the country.

After three years of this visit, a cordial atmosphere has been created between us. At this time, India will help with onion, ginger and garlic to solve the necessary crisis.

During this time, we were able to reach consensus on various issues including agreeing on railway communication, information technology, climate change at the United Nations. It was a historic visit. We have a longstanding friendly relationship with India. It will continue.

The press conference on the recently concluded visit to India has started today at 4 pm at Ganabhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made an official visit to the country from September 5 to September 8 at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the visit, seven MoUs including withdrawal of 153 cusecs of water from the common border river Kushiara were signed through bilateral meetings.

During the visit, India's Northeast Region Development Minister G Kishan Reddy, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina separately.
