'Din The Day' premiere show in Malaysia is crowded with expats
Bangla movie 'Din The Day' has created a huge response among expatriates in Malaysia. The film was released on 16 September on Malaysia's Republic Day. As the day was a holiday, the authorities struggled to cope with the huge crowd of thousands of entertainment-loving expatriates to watch the premiere of the movie.
Around 1000 people were waiting for tickets even after TGV Cinemas authorities launched the show of movie 'Din The Day' on five screens simultaneously at 5:20 PM at Suriya KLCC.
Seeing this crowd and interest of the audience, TGV authorities increased the number of screens and launched the show of 'Din The Day' movie on a total of 8 screens. Still many could not buy tickets. Expats are excited to see the movie.
Expatriate Amir Hossain said, I was interested when I heard that the movie would be released in Malaysia. I collected the tickets online immediately after the announcement. Loved watching the movie.
Meanwhile, the movie's star duo Anant-Vorsha watched the first screening of 'Din The Day' with the audience at TGV KLCC in Kuala Lumpur at 5:20. At this time, the couple expressed the hope of spreading Bengali films all over the world in the future.
Earlier, Anant Jalil said in a press conference in Kuala Lumpur on September 14 that he will build a movie market all over the world. He wants to build a market where our Bangladeshis and expatriate brothers and sisters are. The star couple will attend the screening at MMC City Square in Jahurbaru on September 18.
The movie was released in 20 theaters instead of 11 theaters in the first week due to the interest of expatriate Bangladeshis. Actor-producer Anant Jalil and Varsha starrer 'Din The Day' directed by Iranian filmmaker Murtaza Atash Zamzam with a budget of Tk 100 crore is in discussion for various reasons after its release.
Anant Jalil played the role of a police officer of an international organization in the movie 'Din The Day'. Apart from Bangladesh, the movie has been shot in Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan.
